Thyroid disease symptoms

Thyroid :-  an Accepted disease

It has become a common disease among every type of age group. From child to adults and adults to oldster it has outstretched itself between us so easily. Through the hormones, it produces, the thyroid gland influence almost all of the metabolism in our body. Its disorders can range from a small, harmless goiter to life- threatening cancer. It involves abnormal  production of thyroid hormones. Production of too much thyroid hormones results in hyperthyroidism and insufficient production of hormones results in hypothyroidism.

Good news-  Most of the thyroid problems can be managed well if they are diagnosed and treated properly.

INITIAL SYMPTOMS OF HYPOTHYROIDISM
fatigue
Higher cholesterol levels
Depression and irritability
Cold intolerance
Constipation
Slower heart rate
Weight gain etc. 




INITIAL SYMPTOMS OF HYPERTHYROIDISM
weight loss
Frequent bowel movements
Thyroid gland enlargement
Nervousness
Sleep disturbance etc.
Other symptoms of the thyroid are stiffness,pain, or swelling in muscles and joints. Swelling of  your face, around your eye, or in your tongue. A slow speech, a hearing problem, and hoarse voice is also a symptom.

Apart from the problems caused by thyroid it has its own risk factors too.





Risk factors of thyroid disease include:-

a history of radiation treatment to thyroid area.
Diabetes disease
Gender : women constitute 80% of all thyroid cases.
a family history of thyroid disorder
Age : prevalence of hypothyroidism is greater in menopausal women than young women.

Cancer of thyroid gland :-
Cancer of thyroid gland is very rare. Its occurs in about 5% of thyroid tumor.
You might have one or more thyroid contusions for several years before they are decided as
